Dear Silver Meadows South Homeowners:

You were recently sent 2021 HOA Assessment Invoices in the amount of $400, which have already been paid by more than half of our members. Throughout our revitalization, our legal counsel told us we should not send out invoices until the revitalization was complete and that everything should continue as before. However, they failed to tell us that the 2021 assessment should be pro-rated to only include the time from the date the new paperwork was filed with Marion County. This happened on October 5, 2021. Therefore, our 2021 HOA assessment should have been $93, with the 2022 HOA assessment invoices of $400 to be mailed on January 1, 2022, and due no later than March 31, 2022, as usual.

If you have not yet paid your 2021 assessment, please strike through the $400 on your copy of the invoice and pay the $93 by December 31st, as requested.

If you have already paid your 2021 assessment invoice in full, you have a $307 credit on your account. If we do not hear from you, this credit will be applied to your January 2022 HOA assessment, leaving a balance due of $93.

If you would like to request a refund of $307, please mail a written and signed request to Silver Meadows Homeowners Assn, P.O. Box 1892, Silver Springs, FL 34489, and a check will be issued promptly. Then you will receive your normal $400 assessment invoice in January.
